Dressing room front section

View from back corner of dressing room through the open passthrough into the bedroom. The bifold doors here (there are three sets) open up to reveal closets, which were constructed in 1981 by the previous owner. We are removing these closets to enlarge the bedroom. Thankfully, the previous owner had the closets contructed *around* the ceiling moldings, keeping the tin in place.

Dressing room back wall

Dressing room back wall

This is the back walls of the dressing room, which will eventually be a nursery. The a/c unit in the wall will be going soon, as we are having central a/c installed. The radiator will stay where it is, but the cover will be refinished.

The wall of built-in closets is gone, opening up a LOT more space in this former dressing-room. The bumped-out part of the wall here is a former chimney and a changing table/combo dresser and tall white mirror will be placed here.

We painted the room in Benjamin Moore's Wales Green with the trim done in Benjamin Moore White Dove.

The glider/recliner is from La-Z-Boy and is wonderfully comfortable. We never thought we would be "La-Z-Boy shoppers", but the chair is perfect for this nursery. The gorgeous afghan over the back was crocheted by my mother for her grandson and the heathered green wool rug is from Pottery Barn Kids.

We still need to decorate the walls, but this room is coming along...

Crib corner

Crib corner

The white baby furniture in this room is from the Canalli company, through Crib and Teen City which is a small family-owned chain of kids' furniture in the NYC area. The corner behind the crib will have a tall white corner bookcase for books and toys. The cute rocking horse was stumbled upon at Room and Board in SoHo, NYC.

Flying cow lamp

Flying cow lamp

We found this cute paper flying cow lamp at a children's boutique called Giggle in SoHo. Since the color of the room reminds us of a spring green pasture, we are looking for accessories with a whimsical farm look about them. This has NOTHING to do with Jen's obsession with eventually having a sheep farm in Pennsylvania. She swears. :)
